What Are Vehicle Graphics?

Vehicle graphics usually consist of a client’s logo and contour-cut lettering such as phone number, website or locations applied to part of the car, truck or van. Often we’ll also include contour-cut shapes and objects to further promote available products, services or branding. Standard practices of color match, correct logo of branded image and balanced design help reinforce your identity. The key to being successful with vehicle graphics is a great layout and correct placement on vehicles.

What Are Vehicle Wraps?

Vehicle wraps relate to the full-color printed vinyl wrap coverings or partial wrap coverings installed as cohesive panels that make a unified graphic image and message on a vehicle. Their design will typically include large sweeping graphics, photo images and pertinent information about the client and services.

How to Choose Which is Best for Your Business?

There are three primary factors to consider when evaluating which style of vehicle advertising is right for you.

  1. BUDGET: The cost of a simple vehicle graphic is roughly 30-to-50 percent less when compared to a vehicle wrap. This makes it a great option for a company looking to make a statement while also working with a smaller marketing budget.
  2. LIFESPAN: Both vehicle wraps and graphics are durable when installed using quality materials. Vehicle graphics are most useful for installations that are short or midterm. Vehicle wraps however have a longer lifespan—typically around four or five years. Your company can market their business and enjoy a cost-per-view that decreases every day it is in service.
  3. IMPACT: Vehicle graphics gives you the opportunity to advertise, locate and promote your company and do so in an attractive, cost-effective way. Fleet advertising with van and truck wraps magnifies that success by making an impressive statement of a company’s collective strength and longevity. Additionally, vehicle wraps allow greater creative flexibility for brand messaging and complex, full-color visuals that most modern logos feature. This makes it an attractive choice for businesses looking to make maximum impact.

I like how you say that vehicle graphics are usually cheaper than a full wrap. This would probably be good if you are trying to promote a small business. Whatever you decide to do to your car, you would want to make sure that it is done by a qualified professional.

Wrapping a vehicle for advertising purposes is a great way to achieve more public exposure. I appreciate how you said that vehicle wraps typically include sweeping graphics that have pertinent information on them. My friend is thinking about starting a company, so I’ll recommend he wrap his vehicle as a cost-effective form of advertising.

Thank you for the comment about vehicle graphics generally being about 30-50% cheaper than a vehicle wrap. My sister has been thinking about having her car display her company’s logo, but he wasn’t sure if she should do a whole warp or just the graphic. I think she should hire someone to do a simple graphic for her, so that she can save some money.
